Two area ?trouble makers? were seen checking out the building during the day and they were sent on their way. However, later in the day, close to Shabbos on Friday 19 Adar 5773 flames were seen coming out of the building. After the fire was extinguished the damage was assessed, said to be significant in the hallways. It appears the vandals were not satisfied with the damage, returning on Shabbos and spray painting their hate graffiti including ?We Hate Chareidim? and ?Chareidim must Serve? and ?Chareidim in the Army?.
Yahadut Hatorah MK Rav Yisrael Eichler feels the media plays a major role in the anti-chareidi sentiment. He condemns the fact that the blaze was passed over by the news, opting to ignore the incident.
