Louisiana No. 1 state in NFL players per capita for fourth straight year

When it comes to producing NFL talent, Louisiana is tops. According to a report by USA Football, Louisana had 61 players who made NFL rosters last weekend, ranking No. 6 among states but No. 1 in NFL players per capita.?Louisiana has one NFL player per 74, 318 people.

Louisiana also led in NFL players per capita in 2009-'11.

Out of?those 61 players, 10 list New Orleans as their hometown, including quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning, and Cincinnati Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

Hahnville High School?is currently one of the most successful high schools in the country in sending talent to the NFL. The school tied for fifth in amount of alumni on active rosters.

Former LSU safety LaRon Landry and his brother Dawan Landry?both graduated from Hahnville, as did Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Laron Byrd and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Darius Reynaud.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School?of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. ranks No. 1 this year with nine current NFL players. California tops all states with 207 players, followed by No. 2 Texas (200 players), No. 3 Florida (189), No. 4 Georgia (92) and Ohio (81).??
