A new program guided by a team of recreation professionals will benefit kids in grades 4-6.
MacDonald Island teamed up with ATB Financial and launched the program yesterday.
13-hundred children will be introduced to sports, fitness and wellness programs.
It is a free one-day recreational experience where kids participate in three of five activities.
-Curling (led by Fort McMurray Oilsands Curling Club)
-Golf via the Start New at Golf (SNAG) program
-Fitness
-Skating (led by Noralta Skating Club)
-Swimming
For the 2012-13 year, 22 of the 26 Mi Day dates have been filled.
